Please do not attempt to force the locking mechanism as it cannot be released and further damage may be caused.  Disconnect the power supply.  Try to pour or tip out the food (once it has cooled down if hot); use the spatula to assist you.  As the Thermomix will be fixed in the housing, please do not clean the Thermomix or try to rinse it using flowing water as it is essential to avoid getting liquid inside the internal workings of the Thermomix.  Please contact Customer Service for help:
